More about our speakers:

John Perkins is a former economic hit man, New York Times Best Selling author and is a champion of environmental and social causes. Perkins’s latest book, Hoodwinked, is a blueprint for a new form of global economics. The solutions are not “return to normal” ones. Instead, John challenges us to soar to new heights, away from predatory capitalism and into an era more transformative than the Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions.

John's Confessions of an Economic Hit Man spent nearly a year and a half on the New York Times bestseller lists and has been published in more than 30 languages and has sold over a million copies worldwide.

John is founder and board member of Dream Change and The Pachamama Alliance, nonprofit organizations devoted to establishing a world our children will want to inherit, has lectured at universities on four continents, and is the author of  books on indigenous cultures and transformation, including Shapeshifting, The World Is As You Dream It, Psychonavigation, Spirit of the Shuar, and The Stress-Free Habit.

José Stevens, Ph.D is well know author, international lecturer, organizational consultant, and executive coach to CEOs, producers, actors, and varied professionals.

José completed a ten year apprenticeship with a Huichol Maracame (shaman) in the Sierras of Central Mexico and currently studies intensively with Shipibo healers in the Peruvian Amazon and Incan shamans in the Andes. Jose often speaks on the subject of the indigenous wisdom of shamans and how this knowledge applies to the modern day world.

Some of his books include: Secrets of Shamanism: Tapping the Spirit Power Within You, The Power Path: The Shamans Way to Success in Business and Life & Transforming Your Dragons: How to turn Fear Patterns into Personal Power, Personnessence: Understanding People, &  Awakening the Inner Shaman

The Center for Shamanic Education & Exchange

Shamanism is the oldest documented spiritual belief system, dating 40,000 years, and practiced in every indigenous culture across the planet. It is an open-source practice rooted in presence, gratitude and the inter-connectivity of all things.

As the modern world encroaches, tribal youth choose modern conveniences over learning traditional culture from their elders. Within a single generation, much of this wisdom could be lost forever.

CSEE’s Mission is to empower shamanic-based indigenous tribes to protect and value their ancestral wisdom.

In-field research with the tribal families allows us to best understand their needs, document their wisdom and tradition, and design custom educational programs and provide access to a global marketplace.
